Religious Instruction

Adult Classes
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a religious education process for adults who wish to join the Catholic Church, as well as for baptized Catholics who wish to receive the sacraments of Confirmation, Reconciliation/Penance and Holy Eucharist. Candidates typically will be in the process for a full year before receiving their sacraments. Classes meet year-round, and interested adults may join at any time. Classes meet weekly in the Parish Center on Sunday afternoons following the 12:15 Mass (monthly during the summer). To register, call 201-659-1772.

Children’s Classes
Children in Grades 1-8 attend the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) classes in the Parish Center on Sunday mornings following the 9:30 a.m. Mass. Parents are encouraged to attend the Mass with their children. Two years of instruction are required prior to receiving First Communion and Confirmation. Classes are held weekly September through June.
