Like its patron saint, St. Francis Parish has a special devotion to poor. Through the Fr. Michael Food Pantry, groceries are distributed to those in need each third Saturday of the month from Sept. through June.  A team of parishioners prepare sandwiches every Monday which are then delivered to St. Matthew’s for distribution.  A group of parishioners also volunteer every month to serve prepare dinner at St. Matthews and the Hoboken Shelter. At Christmas, hundreds of gifts are collected for distribution through social service agencies in Hudson County. In addition, some parish events and special collections have helped victims of natural disasters around the globe and here at home.
